Travel to Las Vegas during Memorial Day weekend has been a long running tradition and the “official party destination” to kick off the summer. In 2016 an estimated 316,000 guests visited sin city and occupied 98% of all hotels bringing in $213.6 million over the three-day weekend.
While visiting the Nightclub & Bar Show in 2014, I learned first hand from attending all-day sessions presented by some of the top event promoters/producers in the country that the “new party” are pool parties. Long gone are the days of creating an exciting party experience for patrons by only producing a nightlife event. Several venues in Vegas take advantage by offering high-end pool parties that compete with the large DJ hosted events at night. The pool party lineup is just as important as the venues patrons visit at night to hear some of the top EDM DJs in the world.
Outside of the pool and nightlife parties, Vegas has a vibrant restaurant scene with new restaurants like Momofuku, Zuma, Beauty & Essex and Bartolotta Ristorante di Mare. Also, Vegas hosts some 15+ Michelin starred restaurants for those that want a complete dining experience. For the holiday weekend here’s a list of local favorites and fine dining options along the Las Vegas strip.
Whether you choose to spend most of the holiday weekend at pool parties, nightlife events or trying new food and cocktails at popular restaurants and cocktail bars, Las Vegas doesn’t disappoint and always promises a new and exciting travel adventure with each visit.
